How the food relief program works & how to apply

1. Register your interest

Apply online

Choose the way that works best for you to register your interest in receiving help.

  • Use a mobile phone to scan the QR code, which you will find on the vending machine inside your local supermarket or petrol station to access the online form. Then, submit to register your interest.
  • If your registration of interest is via the website or email, you will get an automated response that your submission has been received, a member of our team will be in touch to discuss next steps.

2. Eligibility Check

Once we receive your registration, we will email you to check your eligibility for Essential Relief.

We’ll only contact you by email, so please check your inbox and junk folder.

    3. Approval

    Receiving your Essential Relief details

    The application process may take about 1-2 weeks. If you’re approved, we’ll email you a QR code for access to the vending machine in your community, along with instructions on how to use it. Your QR code is loaded with a set amount of credit, topped up twice a month.

    • Vending machine. The QR code lets you choose from the stocked essential household items from the vending machine that best suits your needs.
    • No cash, only access to essentials. This QR code cannot be exchanged or redeemed for money and can only be used at the vending machine at one of our partner locations. The QR code is loaded with a set amount of credit, topped up twice a month.

    4. Collect your items

    Discreet & simple collection

    Visit your local vending machine to select and vend your items.

    • Scan your QR code at the vending machine.
    • Select the products you need.
    • Pick up your items. quick, easy, and without stress.

    How to use your QR code at the vending machine

    The QR code has the value of $50 twice monthly and is ready to be used in the vending machine. You don’t have to spend the entire $50 at once. Any unused credit will carry over.

    Using the QR code is simple

    1. Scan the QR code to access the main menu

    2. Alternatively, you can manually add your User ID & Passcode to access the main menu

    3. Your credit balance will display and allow you to access items stocked in the vending machine.

    4. The amount will be automatically deducted from your available balance, and your item will be dispensed.
